A several thousand year old pathway, a rocky mountain top, a devotional stairway will take you as far as Mount Costanzo, and as far down as Punta Campanella, a route which evokes mythical legends and ancient pilgrimages, Present day cultivation of the land has not detracted beauty and has not changed from days gone by: the Benedictine vineyards, the olive trees of Minerva and the expanses of red valerian (Jupiter’s beard)
Botany: Mediterranean scrub, garigue, pine woods, oak trees, Holm oaks, carobs, myrtle, mastic trees, euphorbia, broom, asphodels, red valerian, rosemary, orchids…..
Fauna: Birds of prey (kestrel, peregrine falcon, buzzard, raven, seagull…) migratory and non-migratory birds, insects, reptiles (lizards, harmless snakes), small mammals.
Points of historical and archaeological interest: Watch towers (Saracens), lighthouse, remains of Temple of Minerva (Athena), Oscan inscriptions and the Church of San Costanzo.
Point of Natural interest and beauty: View of Capri, Ieranto, from S. Costanzo a 360° view of the whole peninsula, rocks with visible fossils
